There are six bowling leagues based in North Shropshire  

This  site covers three of them

The Stubbs Parkin & South Whitchurch & District Bowling League. This league has 8 Divisions and 106 teams and plays matches on Tuesday & Thursday evenings from April to October.

This league started in 1938 with 4 teams A W Club, Chester Rd, Bridgewater, & Malpas B C  all of which are still  members at the present day.

This League is unique in the fact that  since 1969 it has had only 2 secretary's

The present Secretary is Mrs Isobel Jones, Isobel became the first Lady President of Shropshire representing this league and indeed the first Lady President of all the B C G B A County Associations and

In  2011  will be President of the B C G B A Ladies Association..

The  J N Hughes Market Drayton & District Bowling League This league has 8 Divisions and 90 teams and plays matches on Friday & Monday evenings from April  to October.

The Osprey Market Drayton Senior Citizens Bowling League. This league has at present 2 Divisions

of 12 teams, and has a milage restriction of 10 miles from Market Drayton
